From March 16 to May 29, Metro Vancouverites are asked to vote via a mail-in ballot on a new tax to fund future transportation improvements.

Who is eligible to vote?
Metro Vancouverites who are registered to vote in BC. You can register or update your voter registration information by calling 1-800-661-8683 or by clicking here.
When does voting happen?
Voting will take place via a mail-in ballot.
Ballots will be mailed out starting March 16th. Votes can be mailed in until May 29th.

Yes side:
The campaign for the "yes" side claims the tax would fund a plan that would increase bus service by 25 per cent across the region and reduce commutes by up to 30 minutes per day.
It also says it would more than quadruple the number of B-Line routes and see the construction of light rail transit in Surrey and Langley.

No side:
The campaign for the "no" side claims the proposed tax would take about $250 million a year out of the pockets of Metro Vancouverites, working out to about $258 per household.
It argues TransLink needs to do a better job of managing its money.
